Today's Homeless Connect Day in Sylmar had a big turnout. Not only was the gymnasium at El Cariso Park filled with service providers, but the room was packed with clients.
Making It Happen provided snacks, water, juice, t-shirts, socks, hygiene items, and toiletries to more than 75 individuals. At one point, we were so swamped with guests we ran out of Medical Missions Clinic flyers. (*must remember to bring more next time)
Kudos to the organizers, Benita Trujillo at LA County Board of Supervisors, and LA Family Housing, for putting on such a successful event. We're proud to be partnering with such compassionate agencies and service providers.
