The first Homeless Connect Day for the San Fernando Valley was held in Sunland-Tujunga at North Valley City Hall. Making It Happen was there to provide socks, gloves, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, rain ponchos, snacks, water, juice, canteens, hygiene items, and resource materials. We gave out 35 fast-food gift cards and interacted with over 50 individuals, including three pregnant women and a mother with a toddler. In addition to our own items, we handed out 50 backpacks provided by Hope Mill. We're looking forward to our next Homeless Connect Day in Sylmar on March 16.
