Are you looking to make a BIG difference in a local child's life this Christmas? Making it Happen Inc's Family Christmas Celebration gives an unforgettable Christmas celebration to local children and their families who are underprivileged and/or homeless. Past year's celebrations created smiles and memories that will not be forgotten!
You can either shop for the children yourselves, or donate and we will shop. Either way, your giving this season will produce a gift not like any thing you will receive that was bought at a store!

Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez shares a social media post honoring the story of Making it Happen's President Pattee Colvin: https://www.facebook.com/profile/100057514537046/search/?q=pattee%20colvin
When Pattee Colvin, President, Making it Happen, Inc. was living on the streets over 16 years ago, she never would have dreamed that she would have the life that she does today.
After receiving a hot meal from a ministry in Sunland while she was still homeless, the compassion of the volunteers who worked there touched her so deeply that she began volunteering for the same hot meal program. By 2007, Pattee was holding a leadership position and running the entire program.
In 2013, Pattee founded Making It Happen Inc., an organization designed to meet the needs of those in our community who are hungry, homeless, unemployed, or under-employed by providing food, clothing, and access to services that provide a pathway to more successful lives. Using her own life story, Pattee made it the organization’s mission to help lift people up who were in need.
In 2019, Pattee received the Pioneer Woman of the Year Award from the City of Los Angeles honoring her lasting impact on the community. Most recently, she was honored as the 2021 Woman of the Year by Congressman Adam Schiff.
Pattee believes that building economically strong, socially unified, and inclusive communities can change the world, and she has shown us the difference this has made for Council District 7.
